Bijou, which owns and manages five prestigious event venues, was delighted to recently host a celebrity-attended Charity Ball at Botleys Mansion, Surrey, in aid of the Sam Beare Hospice in Weybridge and help raise nearly £100,000.

Bijou is a proven specialist in delivering spectacular private events and its recently opened, 18th century Grade II* listed Botleys Mansion provided the perfect setting for this immensely worthwhile event. Kindly donating this glorious venue, 5 star* banqueting and hosting for the evening, Bijou successfully delivered a memorable event that was attended by several high profile names which included JLS, Max Clifford, Theo Paphitis, Emma Forbes and Kelvin McKenzie. Along with 300 other guests, these celebrities enjoyed a sumptuous banquet, entertainment from Steve Mac and Wayne Hector’s band and an auction for items such as Picasso and Warhol works of art. This charity auction raised almost £100,000 for the Sam Beare Hospice which provides invaluable 24/7 palliative care and support to residents of North Surrey.

As the guests enjoyed dancing into the early hours, Jo Cutmore-Scott, co-owner of Bijou commented, “Tonight has been thoroughly entertaining and a huge success for both Bijou and Sam Beare. From a corporate social responsibility point of view, we have been absolutely delighted to support such a worthwhile cause and it has been a delight working closely with the charity to make tonight possible. Botleys Mansion is such a wonderful venue for these types of private functions and it is always a joy to welcome guests into our stunning building. We hope that Bijou’s hosting of this event and the subsequent charity auction, will make a real difference to individuals in our local community who rely on the Sam Beare Hospice.”
